Resource Interactive Offers Clients Outsourcing Options |
ValueLabs of India Chosen as Strategic Partner
Columbus, OH March 20, 2006 In a move that is wholly commonplace among global ad conglomerates but less so among smaller independent agencies in the US, Resource Interactive has entered into a strategic outsourcing partnership. The Indian delivery center of software services company ValueLabs will augment Resource Interactive's staff, serve as a lower-cost resource for select technology services, and provide cross-continental, around-the-clock support to Resource Interactive's clients.
"We began exploring relationships with lower-cost software services companies in 2000 because we believe it is in our clients' best interests to do so," explained CEO Nancy Kramer. "As a firm in the marketing and technology space, we've been quite influenced lately by Thomas Friedman's latest book, The World is Flat, which has deepened our convictions about our outsourcing initiatives. While somewhat controversial to many, we believe a partner who can assist with our non-core competencies is as good for our associates as it is for our clients. Our technologists can focus their energies on driving innovation, mastering the latest software applications and tools, integrating new technologies, and providing our clients with the best technology consulting."
After reaching out to a number of potential partners, ValueLabs, Inc. was chosen from a shortlist of 12 corporations upon completion of a series of pilot projects. Each of the shortlisted firms was evaluated on criteria including quality of work, communication, cost, and design. Upon narrowing the field to four, Resource Interactive traveled to India for the final round of consideration. After completing site visits, reviewing work samples, and interviewing team members, ValueLabs, Inc. was selected and the partnership was formalized in February 2006.
"After committing to a low-cost service delivery model, we began a thorough process of screening candidates, and determined finally that the quality of work, communication style, and company culture at ValueLabs are compatible with our values," said Chris Berk, Executive Director of Technology at Resource Interactive, one of two Resource Interactive associates to visit the ValueLabs campus in Hyderabad, India. "They are a great fit for us, and have already provided and will continue to provide HTML development, HTML edits, basic scripting, and some application development."
